How to avoid Procrastination- the action of delaying or postponing something
Everyone has kept certain task at some point in their life, For example I’ve kept this article to publish yesterday but it was “procrastinated ” . Like this have you ever concerned why you — or others — procrastinate?
In psychology, it has long been believed that people who procrastinate have a faulty sense of time — that they think they will have more time to get something done than they actually do.
Some tips one can follow to prevent procrastination
2 Minutes task
It’s wondering how many things we put off that we could get done our work in two minutes or less than that . For example, washing our dishes immediately after our meal, doing laundry ,cleaning up garbage , sending an email, and so on.
If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, then follow the rule and do it right.
Focus on your “why”
Instead, try focusing on why you are doing this task: What are the benefits of completing it?
For example if you’ll think selling an item with its 10 pieces will give you good incentive so of course you’ll try to sell its more quantity.
If it is an exercise program you have been avoiding, focus on how exercising will help you have more positive energy, give you a boost of self-esteem , and serve as a great role model for your children.
Get out your calendar
You need to lineup up when you are going to work on a project and block out that particular time, just as you would an important meeting.
And when it is time to do your work, set a timer so you can be focused for the entire allotted time.
This will help you in completion of your work easily and your check list will finish soon.
Stop Excuses
Be honest with yourself and stop excuses. Sure, it might be nice to ”be in the mood,” but waiting for that to happen or depending upon someone
(for example if X will do then only i will be able to complete my project ) can never start your project.
Reward Yourself
You set your limit of doing task and finish your small talk first so this will give you a booster and you’ll feel happy too for completing the work early with this you can reward yourself so this will increase your enenrgy to fnish your task effectively.
